On 26th October 2007 Buccaneer Holdings sold the Ten Tors Inn, Kingsteignton to St. Austell Brewery.  This sale does not alter the overall strategy to build the company to twelve pubs, but enables us to reinforce and strengthen the capital base, to go forward into the future.

In 1990 Buccaneer was sold to Whitbreads & Michael Ruthven retained four pubs two of which are still in the Buccaneer group today.

In 1993 Tim Ruthven joined his father & with Andrew Jones built the company up to the pubs we have today, the head office is still in Cheltenham.

Buccaneer Holdings Ltd currently operates eight managed houses though out the South West of England & are looking to expand to twelve pubs.
